The holidays are quickly approaching! On December 17th, 6pm - 9pm, S'Moms will be hosting their second annual Single Parent Night Out. Maybe you will need to finish up some Christmas shopping, or spend some time out with friends, or maybe just a quiet evening at home while your children are safe. Single Parent Holiday Night Out!!

Single parents are invited to the S'Moms Holiday Night Out on Dec. 4, 6-9:00 p.m. at Gateway Christian Church. We know this year has been especially tough for so many people; we are hoping to help make things a little easier for you. You can drop off your children for free childcare and fun activities, pick up a special gift for yourself, and then spend a few free hours for shopping or just free time! After returning, free gift-wrapping and assistance will be available while the children are still busy. Bring the gifts you may already have at home to wrap also! Summer vacation is upon us and there are so many free activites out there. Besides the zoo and many museums, many of the communities in the area are having concerts and movie nights, all for free. Check out our Community Calendar to the left which is updated regularly with new ideas of things to do during the summer!

Wonderful S'Moms Brunch!

We all had a wonderful time at the S'Moms Brunch, and were glad to see all the ladies that could come. JoEllen's cello music was lovely, and Debbie had so many special dishes to enjoy ! Many thanks to all the hands that made it possible.

If you didn't make it for the Brunch, stay tuned for other events coming up. We know you have a lot to juggle, so just come when you're able, even if it's a last-minute decision. We understand! :)

Enjoy an evening out or with other single moms while your children are being watched for no expense in a safe environment. Moms have the option to leave or stay and enjoy an evening with other single moms while enjoying desserts, a movie, and fellowship. This event has no cost to you at all but please RSVP by March 28th by either emailing gccsmoms@gmail.com or by leaving a message at (314) 821-2156. Please send us your name, ages of children needing to be supervised, if any, and your phone number and/or email.

Life sometimes feels like a struggle. Okay, let us be honest, for a single mom, life might always feel like a struggle. For a single parent, the day never seems to end. There is mom the nurse, the taxi driver, the chef, the cheerleader, the housekeeper, the bill payer, and sometimes the mom that is the dad too. S’Moms was formed just for that multi-purpose single mom.

We are just starting to build this blog. Eventually, we hope that you will see it as a resource center and a place just for you. There will be S’Moms events throughout the year, which will include mom pampering days, Movie and Dessert nights (with lots of chocolate), back to school assistance, and a Christmastime Mom’s Night Out. All events will be no cost to the mom and include free childcare services.

We also have a Community Calendar to the left. This calendar will list free and cheap events around the St. Louis area for you and your family. We hope that through these tough times that this will bless you with events that you can afford. As a group, we will also attend some community events together.
